Asahi/America., Inc., a leading manufacturer of engineered, thermoplastic fluid handling systems, introduces the Type 56 Butterfly Valve. Available with either lever operation or with a gear, the valve is manufactured from unplasticized Polyvinylchloride (PVC), Polypropylene (PP), and Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF). The valve has very few metal parts, so it is ideal for users who are moving closer to having an all-plastic system to guard against corrosion. The Type 56 provides enhanced handling and safety for a variety of industries.
The Type 56 valve's lever features an innovative locking device that protects against unwanted handle operation and allows for 19 different valve opening degrees. The modular design of the valve's top flange allows flexible and easy change of operation types, from lever to gear and from manual to automatic. The flange design also allows operators to easily change the direction of the handle lever mounting with minimal disruption to the operation.
The Type 56 comes in sizes ranging from 1-1/2" to 16", depending on the material of construction. Working temperatures range from -5° F to 250° F.
Asahi/America, Inc. specializes in high purity thermoplastic fluid handling products, including pipes and fittings, valves, actuators, controls and flow instrumentation. The company maintains an extensive custom fabrication department, and provides on-site consultation, supervision and training where required.
